Through my reading of the Bible’s Old Testament, I came across what I found very compelling, in Leviticus Chapter 11: 1 – 47, (I will only be reviewing a few of the verses, so please take the time at your leisure to read them all).
Leviticus 11: 1, 2
1- Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them…
2 – Speak to the children of Israel, saying, these are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:
These are God’s commands that He gave to Moses and Aaron, for the people to abide by, they are not Moses and Aaron’s commands. These commands are not only for Jews they are also for the “stranger among us“, (the Gentiles) we are all God’s Children.
God stated clearly and concisely what we can and cannot eat on this earth. How can we in clear conscience ignore His Word.
Example: Leviticus 11: 9, 10
9 – These you may eat of all that are in the water: Whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers – that you may eat.
10- But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you.
