                                                           HEALING GOD’S WAY

                                               God’s Temple, Health, and Healing

Hello everyone, I am going to share with you what God has put on my heart about our temples our health and our healing…  I thank the Lord for His strength and guidance in preparing me to present His word to you and I am asking the Lord to give His children the ear to hear the hearts to receive it in Jesus’ name, Amen.

With the guidance of out Heavenly Father; I will lead you back in time.  I feel truly blessed that the Lord has given me the calling to witness His commands, and to have this opportunity to share them with you.

Our temples (which are our bodies) are a gift from God to love treasure, and preserve for every day excellence which will ultimately lead to strong vitality.

Romans 12 – 1, 2

1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 – And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and prefect will of God.

Our bodies are GOD’S TEMPLE which means we need to take heed on what we take into our bodies every day.  (Food, drink, and medicine’s prescription or natural) we are the only ones accountable for our temples, and we have to be accountable to GOD!!!

Through my reading of the Bible’s Old Testament, I came across what I found very compelling, in Leviticus Chapter 11: 1 – 23, (I will only be reviewing a few of the verses, so please take the time at your leisure to read them all).

Leviticus 11 – 1, 2

1- Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them…

2 – Speak to the children of Israel, saying, these are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:

These are God’s commands that He gave to Moses and Aaron, for the people to abide by, they are not Moses and Aaron’s commands.  These commands are not only for Jews they are also for the “stranger among us“, (the Gentiles) we are all God’s Children.

God stated clearly and concisely what we can and cannot eat on this earth.  How can we in clear conscience ignore His Word.

Example:  Leviticus 11- 9,10

9 – These you may eat of all that are in the water:

Whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers – that you may eat.

10- But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you.

I have been just as guilty as others eating foods that are an abomination to me…I am sure you can agree with me, for instance; shrimp, lobster, scallops, oysters and claims, just a few of the many more that are off limits to us.

GOD says that if we eat anything that is not listed, it is an abomination to us…

Webster’s definition of abomination is:

An abhorrence for someone or something; loathing.  Something that elicits great dislike or abhorrence.

Some meanings for abhorrence – disgusting, repulsive, disapprove

Some additional meanings for abomination – badness, uncleanness, dislike, hatred.

I don’t find anywhere in the New Testament where God changed his protein menu for us.  We have to remember God’s word doesn’t change it is the same yesterday as it is today and will be tomorrow, GOD’S WORD IS FINAL!!!

The New Testament is all about Jesus and his disciples, it doesn’t say anything about what we can or cannot eat, so again how can we with good conscience ignore God’s commands in Leviticus.

Leviticus 11: 11  46, 47

46 – “This is the law of the animals and the birds and every living creature that move in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,

47 – to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.”

When tragedy befalls us with mental of physical illness God is there waiting with open arms to heal us but if we aren’t honoring our temples everyday by what we put in it, how can God do his part?  HE WON’T!!!

Proverbs 3: 1, 2

1 – My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands;

2 – For the length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.

God gave us the Ten Commandments, which are in the Old Testament, so that we can structure a solid moral foundation in building a relationship with Him.  We, as Christians, strive everyday to follow them, so it makes sense to also follow God’s guidelines (commands/law) on how to keep are Temples healthy, so we can avoid the illnesses that come from unhealthy living habits…

With today’s modern technology, they have proven many of our diseases are due to unhealthy life choices.

God gave us free will, however He is giving you the wisdom now to realize what you need to do.  Ask Him for His Strength to change your unhealthy living habits, so He can start your healing process…

Proverbs 4: 20, 21, 22

20 – My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.

21 – Do not let them depart from your eyes;

22 – Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.

Here it is, as plain as it can be: the taking of God’s Word is life and medicine to your flesh.

We are all guilty of being impatient and expecting things to happen right away.  Remember the old statement “patience is a virtue” that is so true.  If we are polluted mentally and physically how can God complete His work, in us.

God wants us to build patience by renewing our faith everyday and this takes discipline and commitment.   Remember the will of God is the Word of God.  This means, by reading his word and preforming his word everyday, we are building our faith.  He wants us to lean on Him exclusively.

Proverbs 7: 1, 2, 3

1 – My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you.

2 – Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye.

3 – Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.

You see God doesn’t want you to be sick.  He say “keep my commands and LIVE!!!  What a wonderful promise, from our GOD!!!

Exodus 23: 25

25 – So you shall serve (worship) the LORD your GOD and He will bless your bread and water.  And I will take sickness away from the mist of you.

True worship from the heart is the key to walking in divine health – humbleness of the heart.   Close every door to the devil that you are aware of.  Take time each day to worship and love GOD from the heart and see the changes that will happen in your life…

I count my blessings everyday for what Jesus did for me, what a gracious gift from God giving his only begotten son for the remission of my sins.  How fortunate we are to have been chosen by God, to have our names written in Heaven.  God wants us to have a full life here on this earth, which means we have to make sacrifices to please Him; our temples are not ours, they are His.

Genesis 6:3

3 – And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years”.

You see, God’s promise is for us to live a good, long life, up to 120 years if we desire.  I am not going to settle for less, I want what God has promised me!!! How about you???

Proverbs 9 – 10,11

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.  And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

11 – For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you.
